Summary: “What if, we could make our lives mean something more?” Brian and Michael are clones created to provide vital organs for non-clones. In their world, their lives and fate have already been determined. What no one foresaw was that their love for one another would become the catalyst for the ultimate act of rebellion.
AN: This story takes the concept of the novel and film but keeps most of the Queer as Folk setting. There’s a bit of dialogue from episode 101 incorporated into the story. David’s medical profession has been changed from chiropractor to surgeon. A “carer” is a clone who takes care of other clones undergoing organ transplantation.
Disclaimer: I do not own these characters or make any money from these writings. These characters belong to Ron Cowen, David Lipman and the Showtime Entertainment channel.

This was so beautiful and tragic and what a great concept!!! Brian would never let himself really lose Michael, I love the ending. Thank you sooo mich fir sharing!!! ...I hope you might post more Br/M fic in the future! (Also, you should share this on the yahoo group because it is far more active: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/BrianandMichael/

First and foremost thank you so much for reading and reviewing this! I'll admit I was a bit hesitant to write it, this being my first foray into the QAF fandom but I just couldn't get the idea out of my head. I'm so pleased that you liked the concept as much as I did. I do have some other story ideas for the boys, so we'll see what happens. And thank you for the link! I'll see what I can do :)
